What better way to say I love you than learning how to massage. It isn't rocket science and at massage-nyc.org, this is what we love to do! From groups to couples to infant massage, this is the place in New York, where you bring the power of massage therapy to the people you love.
Here are a list of classes that we provide. If you would like to book a couples' singular session or create a 'spa party', we are able to work with you.
Couples massage: A one to one and half hour session, you and your partner will learn a basic massage routine from one of our licensed massage therapists. In the comfort of your own home, you will be able to work out the knots and give great foot massages that your partner will love. And, will return the favor. Discover how to use your body as leverage, find out what elbows are really for and your relationship will deepen as a result.
Infant Massage: In New York, there is only so much time in the day, especially for new moms. With this class, you as the parent or caregiver, will learn SO much about your newborn. Infant massage aids in healthy eating and digestion, promotes sleep, helps to relieve colic and growing pains. These are amongst the many benefits of infant massage. We do private, at home sessions or if a group of moms want to get together we offer group rates as well. We also work out of doctor's offices as well. We are looking to expand our community to make the world a more peaceful place. So we're starting young. We only work with babies from as early as 3 weeks to as old as 5 months.
Prenatal for couples: This is our newest and most exciting. We got a call from a husband who wanted to learn how to rub his wife's back. She was 8 months pregnant and irritable, massage-NYC.org got a therapist to teach him a simple massage routine for her. It is a little more in-depth, but worth it especially if you cannot go to a spa every week. Why not have a therapist come over to your house and teach you? So we are proud to bring this to couples who are about to have a new addition.
